My Comic Valentine Vol. 2 Opens Feb 11

Playwright Lane Pianta sent this info to the Yahoo Romance Comics discussion group regarding a new production based again on golden age romance comics! So if you happen to be in DC at the right time:

With heart on sleeve and tongue in cheek,
My Comic Valentine:
A Comic Book for the Stage, VOL. 2!
makes the perfect date for couples or anyone
who wants to celebrate the holiday of romance.

Utilizing actual comic book stories from the 1950s, My Comic Valentine, Vol. 2! explores the primal dynamics of love, romance and sexuality against the backdrop of mid-20th century American culture.  Challenging the conservative stereotypes and affirming universal truths in the never-ending search for true love, MCV2 brings heart, humor and sheer pre-code hotness to DCAC in Adams Morgan Thursday, 2/11 to Sunday 2/14, 2010.  A living comic book with all the elements, from cover to cover including the ads and letters, MCV2 celebrates the passions, problems and perplexities of love from the Golden Age to today!
